The Level 1 module provides you with the fundamentals to conduct an inherently restful restorative yoga practice based on the Resting Conversation® approach. Learn the key components of Resting Conversation® to create conditions for deep relaxation. Featured topics include the psychological science of stress and relaxation, restorative yoga and its effect on the central nervous system, pranayama for relaxation, reading bodies, understanding props, setting up of restorative yoga poses and variations, sequencing and teaching considerations, and the art of assisting students. There will be a lot of hands on practice to experience, explore and teach various groups of restorative yoga poses.
